Whatever your views on the subject of bullfighting I think we can all accept it as a brave thing to do when they stand in front of a charging bull. Having said that they clearly do not all have nerves of steel.
Following his having been gored in the leg on a previus occasion a Mexican bullfighter was arrested for failing to fullfil the terms of his contract when he ran out of a bullfighting ring in mid-fight.
I can’t say I blame him and I imagine the stress and worry of his previous encounter weighed heavily on his mind. We think of stress as pressures of work but I hardly think that can compare to having a couple of tons of bull charging at you when you know how much it hurts when you get it wrong. He has since reported that he plans to retire and who can blame him for that.
