How To Save On Government Costs
Its very reassuring to hear the Home Secretary say that it will not cost the government millions to introduce the ID card scheme but the reason is that the government will be charging us directly. Are we supposed to be impressed?
The point is we don’t want it and we don’t want to pay for it. If Alan Johnson is so sure it is worthwhile he should pay for it himself out of his salary or even better simply scrap the idea.
