So Many Laws And Regulations But Are They Helping?
Since Labour came to power an additional 4,000 or so offences have been created. Many may be valid, useful and justifiable but who would know?
So many rules and regulations have been introduced that even Baroness Scotland, the government legal advisor who introduced the law regarding emloyment of immigrant workers was found to have acted illegally and fined several thousand pounds.
How are you and I supposed to stand a chance against a wall of laws that control everything we do from morning till night. For all I know I could be acting illegally by complaining about it.
Everyone needs to slow down and take a breath. What exactly has been done and how is it all working out. Have these laws made Britain a better place? What were the unintended consequences of so many laws put into place without proper consultation and consideration? Is life much safer and are we all wealthier thanks to these new laws?
The laws that people have been clamouring for have not appeared. Control of the banks and the financial sector hasn’t happened. The electoral reform Tony Blair promised hasn’t happened and our civil liberties and freedom of the individual have been slowly but surely reduced.
